The two great| combinations wili in the future be bound together by an elastic agree- ment which will permit them to op- erate with comparative independence. No prediction was made as to what effect tonight's proceedings will have on the professional game and the players, but leaders of both leagues professed to be highly satisfied with the sensational turn affairs had taken when temporary arrangements were completed shortly before midnight.
