When I reached Buckingham Me- morial the janitor kindly informed me that I was too late for dinner, that everything was eaten up. Well, I told him that I had more food with me than T could eat, so I was safe. As I entered the dining room and saw the smiling faces around the well supplied table, I was glad that I had braved the damp weather and met with them again. With Scottie, Blos- som, Calla Lily, and Nelly Bly as hostesses, there is no need of saying that everything was agreeable and as it should be. There was an abundance for all and good cheer was the ruling feature. Although we missed many we had hoped to see, we were glad to meet all those who were there. ' After dinner Blossom favered us with music, The Star Spangled Ban- ner was played and other inspiring music, and the afternoon passed all too quickly. In my last week's letter by the omis- sion of one little word (not) one sen- tence read entirely different from what I intended. I wrote that among the Dblessings of the past year that not the least of which was the blessing of the Social Corner influence. I hope ail} knew at once that was an omission. With all good wishes for a Happy New Year to all of the Social Corner Friends, and many thanks for the ve pretty calendar. AUNT MARY. | i SEASONABLE TESTED RECIPES.
