The lquor li- cense guestion will not be voted on again until the nest state election, which will be in 1920, and until that period it will be illegal to sell intox- icating drink within the borders of the town after the expiration of the licenses mow :in force. This means there will be no booze on *ap in West- erly proper, or at 'Watch Hill, Pleas- ant View, Weoekapaug, Brndfnrfl. Pot- ter Hill, White Rock, the Misquami- cut' Golf grounds or elsewhere in the town, for the next two years. Two years ago town voted in favor of license a vote of 26, showing a change of 45 voles in com- parison with the vote of Tuesday. Then the First District voted 349 ves and 315 no, and in the Second Dis- trict the vote was 428 yes and 436 no. In 1308 the town went no-license by a majority of 275 and by 139 in 1909. Since then liquor license has prevail- ed in Westerly. A pre-election canvass chowed there were 1548 voters in the town that could be reached on elecrion day, out of a total rezistration of about 1700. The total vote cast on Tuesday was 1365. Of this number 623 were in the First and 742 in the Second district. Therefore there were only 185 stay at-homes and some of thesec were not physically able to get out and vote.
