The Liberty Loamn Committee of the Norwich Disirict maost earnestly appeals fo every person wilhin the [imits of this town to read and act upon the following suggestions: First, that every person in the Town of Nor- wich shall subscribe for the Fourth Liberty Loan, a sum at least twice as large as he or she did for the Third Loan last Spring. Liberty Up to the close of business on Thursday, Octoher 10th, the grand total subscribed in this District amounted to $1,275,000 or just about $1,000,000 short of the sum allottec. Up to Thursday night only 3600 subscriptions had been sent in to the Com- mittee, while in the last campaign over 10,000 subscriptions were received. ARE YOU ONE OF THESE SIXTY-FIVE HUNDRED PERSONS WHO HAVE NOT SUBSCRIBED? We must have thousands of Hundred Dollar Pledges, as well as hundreds of Thousand Dollar Pledges. LET US MAKE LIBERTY. DAY A REAL VICTORY DAY = _ and go “OVER THE TOP” on Saturday night with our full allotment subscribed. WE CAN DO IT IF YOU WILL DO YOUR FULL DUTY AND SUBSCRIBE AT ONCE Second, that every person who has not as yet pledged or subscribed FOR SUCH AN AMOUNT will do so on Saturday, October 12, 1918, which is to be known as “Liberty Day.” Third, that every person in the Town of Nor- wich who knows of any person, ‘corporation, firm or organization who has not made such a subscription, will personally sse or telephone such parties and urge them to so subscribe on )ay, Saturday, October 12th Every Bank in Norwich will be open all day and all the evening on Sat- urday and will receive your subscription. If you cannot pay down in cash the entire amount for which you desire to subscribe, and if you desire a longer term than the Government plan for payment will allow, any National Bank will loan to you for three months at 4% per cent., such an amount as you may desire, and at the end of the three months’ period you will be granted an extension of credit on the most fav orable terms possible. THEY WILL HELP YOU TO HELP THE CAUSE Your Committe is working night and day to make this Campaign a success, but it cannot raise the allotted sum without your help.
