REGIMENTAL PARADE AT NEW LONDON To Be Given by Sixty-eighth C N. G., Followed by Soldier Life Exhibition. New London is to have a grand patriotic spectacle next Wednesday, when a thousand or more of Unele Sam's boys, in service uniform, will parade the streets of the city and later e an exhibition of the routine of E:dier life in camp at Plant fieid. The Sixty-eighth regiment, C. N. G., now located at an island fort, expects to go overseas before long for active service. Unlike most of the other regi- ‘ments that have been formed, the Six- ryeighth has no regimental fund and 1t #s for the purpose of getting together an adequate sum to purehase the com- forts that soldiers need, in addftion to the necessities that are supplied by the gowernment. it is hoped to raise $5,000 for this worthy purpese in New London, and other piaces will contribute toward the fund, whith will be most useful 0 the men when they are doing duty - on foreign soil. | — Captains Meserve.
