In place of the familier western outfit is a figure clad in blanket coat and fur, and the hard-riding western types are replaced by habitues of the resort maintained by a renegade En- glishman to separate the timbermen from their hard-earned wages. According to Hart, who directed the production in addition, to playing the Litle role, the absence of horses was not relisheq by the men who prac- tcally live in the saddle in California, ind who performed the hard work of jragging sleighs by hand along the irails. Blue Blazes Rawden was writ- len for Hart by J. G. Hawks, and is uniqua in that there is no love story in the ay.
