Carrying On” lan Hay Beiih's new lecture to be giv- en here Saturday, November 24th at Siater hall, under the auspices of the = HAN e o' &N Those who heard Major Beith on his previous visit to this country will not need their memory jogged as to his identity, so unforgetable was personality and the excellence of his lecture. To those who have not had the pleasure of hearing Major Beith it will be sufficient to indicate that he was the author of that widely read and interesting human document “The First Hundred Thousand,” an account of the service of Kitchener's First Army. . His lecture has to do with the more recent events of the war, showing how the famous “K (D" has been ‘“car- rying on"—a British expression which has no relation to the American idiom. With the ready assistance of the British fortign office he has been able o obtain wonderfully interesting pic- tures to illustrate his lecture—pic- tures that have mever been shown in this country. These, together with fthe lecturer’s own skill and ability ‘sraph- ically to portray what he has seen, make certain an evening’s entertain- ment not alone of interest but of ben- efit, for he tells his hearers things they Jong to know and which are only learned through someone who has been at the front and seen with his own eves.
