Come Through, = Picturization of George Bronson Howard’s Mighty Melodrama, Feature for Today and Tonight. .The programme at the Breed thea- tre today and tonight is one of merit and is headed by George Bronson Howard's mighty melodrama, Come Thréugh. This massive production is in elght absorbing acts and comes to y theatre, New York, and the Piay- - house in Chicago where it scored the hit of the picture season and packed these houses to capacity at every per- formance at dollar prices. It has re- celved most enthusiastic praise from both press and public. Herbert Rawlinson js cast in the leading male role, that of a gentleman crook, and his effective work is spoken of in the highest terms, while Alice Lake, in the leading feminfne role, gives him sympathetic support. Come Through furnishes to the screen one of its most absorbingly interesting and dramatic features. Other pictures on the bill include Pear] White in The Fatal Ring and the latest war news in the Hearst- Fathe Weekl: The Auditorium. d When every single newspaper of lew York praises a film production, and even the trade papers of fiimdom sival each other in saying splendid things about a film, one may be :sure that it is “worth while.” This very 5 thing has occurred with The Masque of Life, a marvelous seven reel spec- tacle which will play at the Auditor- ium today and tomorrow. . Zit, the critic of the New York Evening Journal said: “The Masqu> of Life is overwhelming. There is ev- ery kind of thrill imaginable.” The New York Times declared: “One of the thrillingest thrills that it was ever the good fortune of a movie cam- era to record,” while the Morning Tel- egraph said: “Most spectacular and interesting. Will appeal because of its novelty. Photography is admira- ble.”. The Motion Picture News, a prominent trade journal, declared: “It .is a great picture—great because it packs within its footage a tremen- :'o;-_. amount of sensation and nov- ‘Thrills seem to be ifs object, but the film is also sald to contain real romance, a big theme, and many beautiful and unusual speéctacular scenes in addition.
