A word to the wise: Get your seats early and avoid the last minute rush. BREED THEATRE. Taylor Holmes, Master Mimicrist, Efficiency Edgar’s Courtship, and Roscoe (Fatty) Arbuckle in Oh, Doc- tor, Form a Program of a Thousand Laughs at the Breed Today and Sat- urday. Today and Saturday the Breed thea- tre will present a very entertaining gram which is headed by Taylor olmes, master mimicrist, in the con- vulsing_five-act comedy drama Effi- ciency Pdgars Courtship. Mr. Holmes is ranked as one of America’s foremost funmakers. He is a stralght comedian who has attained popularity through his powers of facial expression and ability to extract humor from eny kind of a situation. Roscoe (Fatty) Arbuckle, the weighty comedian, will aiso be seen in Para- rount’s latest release, Oh, Doctor. In this production Fatty is seen as Dr. 1 O. Dine, and this character gives him one of the greatest laugh-getting arts he has been called upon to play some time. Al St. John adds great- 1y to this picture, which is full of side- plitting _ situations. The Hearst- athe weekly completes the bill. AUDITORIUM. Dustin Farnum in Durand of the Bad Lands, Feature Today and Saturday at the Auditorium—Four Shows Sat- urday, 130, 8, 7, 830. Dustin Farnum is a big attraction ®¢ the Auditorium theatre today when he appears on the screen in William Fox’s latest photoplay, Durand of the Bad Lands. Mr. Farnum has a mighty fine story in Durand of the Bad Lands and in every part of the tale he shows his masterly acting to fine effect. 'He woams the Bad Lands ah outlaw. He steals cattle with as shrewd an instinct for covering up his trail as any man who ever was “wanted” in those old bygone days. But for a woman or a child his hand is raised only to help. He rescues three children from Indians Who massacre everydne else in the set- tiement. He falls In love with a_girl who sees only the big, noble side of his character. And when he realizes his life is wrong, it is to these he goes end ever after he's as useful a citizen ax he was a bad “bad man.” It's a fine picture. Don’t miss it. The Mutual weekly and a comedy complete the program. ASKS FOR GUARDIANS - FOR HARRY K. THAW ‘Application Filed in U. S. Court in Brooklyn. PETROLEUM BILL KILLED IN HOUSE OF COMMONS First Defeat for Premler Lloyd George’s Government. London, Oct. 25—Premier Liloyd Georze's government suffered its first defeat in the .house of commons to- night.
