Howard of Syracuse is to be_in Norwich Tuesday evening, June 19th, and give his famous war address on “The World on Fire.” This is the address that stirred Washington <o that it has been made a senate iocument and 15,000 were sold in that ty the first week.after it was de- ered. Mr. Howard has now a na- tional reputation. He will not disap- point his crowd. It is a purely pa- friotic address in the Interest of the conservation of American forces and victory for America. Mr. Howard is often called the Little Giant of Syra- use. He comes to us under the patronage of Hon. Allyn L. Brown, mavor, Hon. Costello Lippitt, ex-may- or and former treasurer of Connecticut, Cononel Charles W. Gale. of the Thames National bank, John C. Av- erill, president of the Chelsea Savings bank, Francis Leavens, president of the Dime Savings bank, James L. Case, Alderman Guy B. Dolbeare and James C. Macpherson. These men are desfrous of having the citizens of Norwich hear the best type of patriotism that is being ex- pressed ¢n the American platform. There will be four complete shows at this theatre today and another top notch bill is packing them in for the last half of the week. The vaudeville feature is Arthur DeVoy & Co., in the comedy dramatic sketch, “His Wife's Mother.” There are four people in the cast including Miss Evelyn Faber, who played here last season with “Kick In” s leading woman. Eddle and Lew Miller present a delightful harmony nging act and the Three Weber rls do a little of everything, in- uding singing, dancing and acrobatic stunts.
