Then follow a series of dramatie situations that are unique in motion pictures. _The self-sacrificing spirlt of Daisy Doyle, her great love for a man who is hounded by the police; the efforts of an energetic detective to put Daisy in prison despite her re- formation are some of the absorbing features of the masterpiece. An_exceptionally strong cast sur- rounds Miss Stevens. DAVIS THEATRE Three Big Keith Acts and Ti Photoplays—New Show Tomorrow If you haven't been to'the Davis the first half of this week don't let to- day go past without seeing the show which closes tonight. There are three €ood acts and everyone is a feature, the big hit on the bill is Bradley and Ardine, one of the cleverest teams in vaudeville. They do a little of every- thing including singing, talking, danc- ing and bicycle riding, but their best work is the dancing and they are in a class all by themselves in this par- ticular line. They have a special stage setting and you cannot afford to miss this act. Another big act is the Mili- tary Quintette, .2 big vocal offering presented by three men and two wo- men. They sing a lot of the old songs end introduce some of the popular ones. They also have a_special stage setting_of their own. The other act is Al Wild, a comedian, who sings, tells storles, and does some very clever imitations. The Triangle fea- ture picture is Dorothy Dalton and William Desmond in A Gamble in Souls, a five-part Ince production that everyone is sure to like. To complete the show there is a hand-colored pic- ture of Spanish Dances and Costumes and a_ funny comedy called Bobby Bear—Investigator. For the last half of the week an- other excellent bill is booked. The vaudeville acts are Warren and Con- Jey in their original singing and danc- ing skit, On the Board Walk: Nich- olas and Croix in a comedy offering, The Spirit of Preparedness, and the Kane Brothers, gymnasts = supreme, Who have one of the most wonderful risley acts in vaudeville. Phe Trian- gle Yeature is The Wharf Rat, fe turing Mae Marsh and Robert Har- ron, a five part Fine Arts produetion, and the comedy will be supplied by Hanz and Fritz, the famous Katzen- jammer Kids, in the cartoon. film, The Chinese Cook. AT THE AUDITORIUM The Ethel May Shorey Dramatic Players will present for today and tomorrow The Girl and the Thief, a comedy dramatic play in two acts. This will be the second bill played by this company of clever artists who will be at the Auditorium for the re- mainder of the week, changing their show asain on Friday. Miss Shorey is ably assisted in all her pisces by Mr. Arthur Campbell and the other members of the company and The Girl and the Thief promises to be one of the best bills they will play here. On the picture program for today and tomorrow will be seen the five- reel Pathe feature, New York, featur- ing Florence Reed. Following' is a short synopsis. Oliver King, a patrician, becomes interested in a chorus girl who fools him. Learning her true charaster, he gives her up, but thereafter is_black- mailed_with a baby. Later the girl dies. King raises the child, a boy, but refuses to acknowledge his par- enthood. He then marries a girl who knows nothing of this incident. The boy, grown, is expeiled from college and takes up his residence at the for- mer home of King’s wife. The boy, addicted to narcotics, is visited by Mrs. King and while drunk attacks her. In the struggle she kills him. The coroner gives a verdict of suicids. Next day, Mrs. King confesses to her husband. ' Thinking_the boy his, he turns from her. The chorus girl's mother comes to collect money, and when King refuses,-she tells kim that MUICK RELIEF FROM CONSTIPATION Get Dr. Edwards’ Olive Tablets _That is ¢he joyful cry of thousands since Dr. Edwards produced Olive Tab- lets, the substitute for calomel. Dr. Edwards, a practicing physician for 17 years and calomel’s old-time en- pmy, discovered the formula for Olive Tablets while treating patients for thronic _constipation and torpid livers. Dr. Edwards’ Olive Tablets do not tontain calomel, but a healing, sooth- ng _vegetable laxative. No griping is the “keynote” of these ttle sugar-coated, olive-colored tablets. They cause the bowels and liver to act ormally. They never force them to annatural action. If you have a “dark brown mouth” dow and then—a bad breath—a dull, 4red feeling—sick _headache — torpid fiver and are constipated, you'll fin ick, sure and only pleasant results ORWICH 1'()“' T "MN wod Soclal Home 2 - ¢ b T0 RENT—Rooms for light house. . —_—— 5 > 7 - = P VR - 2 I rs.
