Governor Marcus (H. Holcomb of Connecticut is a friend of Mr. Stubbert and was superintendent of the Southington Sunday school while Mr. Stubbert was pastor there. For many years Mr. Stubbert has spent his summers at Crescent Beach, ‘where he was a property holder, and is especially well known in New Lon- don county on account of his summer residence and his pastorate in the city of New London.
