Merchants' week, Oct, 2ist to Oct 28th, inclusive, is the greatest mer- chandising occasion of the entire year for the people of eastern Connecticut. Practically all of the leading merchants of the town, representing every line of mer- chandise, are co- operating in the Mer- chants’ week plan, and invite you to take advantage of the opportunities which it offers. In addition to rebating fares, ‘there will be many special offerings in the stores that are so-operating in the Merchants’ week plan, thereby making it more adventageous to trade in Nor- wich during Merchants® week. Labhn_Furniture Co. The following explains the rebating of fares during Merchants’ week: It you come by steam railway, buy e return ticket, as you will be re- quested to show it in Norwich. If by trolley, you will only b erequired to tell where you come from, Use the rebate book. Have amount of purchases entered at the stores at which you trade. You may trade at . different stores and at as many as you choose—the total amount purchased in the Norwich stores listed in the book will be the amount considered. When through shopping, present the book at Merchants’ week headquarters, Wauregan house, Broadway entrance, with the amounts purchased correctly entered, and if your purchases show that you are entitled to it, your fare will be handed back to you. In the book are given tables covering all the towns within a wide radius of Norwich, showing the amount of pur- chases needed to be made to entitle the out of town buyers to the fare rebate, which is one of the features of Mer- chants' week.
