Four Shows Today—Another Big Bill For Next Weck—Three Big Keith Acts. | 3 i There will be four shows at the Da- vis today and the Dbill is one of the best this season. The feature attrac- tion is the Four Imperials, a quartette of singers, who can sing arkl harmon- ize. Another good act is the Three Wasleys, a trio of acrobats who pre- sent something new and different from anything ever seen here. The third act {s Hal and Francis, a_character comedy duo, who present their orig- inal comedy skit called Town and Country. The three acts are all big headliners and vou cannot afford to miss seeing ther}. In the photo piays the Triangle fea- ture is called Stranded, featuring De- ‘Wolf Hopper and Bessie Love. This is & picture that has caused a lot of talk and to_complete the show there is the usual funny two reel Keystone come- For the first half of next week the management have booked what will be called the greatest bill ever seen her The feature attraction is Trout, Mer- maid and Bubbles, a man, woman, and a seal. This is a novel tank offering and one of the biggest semsattons of the year. Another good act is Fran- cle and Ross, two boys who present a nifty dancing act. The third act is the quaint character comedian. Clem delighttul comedy playlet, called Dad- Bevins and company, presenting the’ dy. This act carries special scenery and will touch the right spot. The fea- ture photo play on this bill is called the Payment. featuring Bessie Barris- cale and William Desmond. This is a problem play that deals with ambitions of a_country girl who aspires to fame and fortune. She comes to a big. city and after encount- ering many hardships she decides to make compromises with the establish- ed_moral latws. She meets 3 man who is willing to help her climb the ladder of fame as an artist, but he exacts a payment which she at the time considers but a trifle. Later in vears her distorted ideas of social values come back to their true focus. When she meets a man she really loves she is face to face with a very difficult problem. To complete the show there is a funny two reel Kevstone comedy. BREED THEATRE. Madame Petrova, the foremost emo- tional actress of {he stage or screen will be seen at the Breed theatre to- day in Playing With Fire, a five part Metro wonderplay from the pen of Aaron Hoffman. Playing With Fire pecially for Madame Petrova, as all of the, distinctive photodrams in which she'is now appearing. They are made with a view fo permit her the fullest display of her wonderful dra- matic powers, and for this reason her | productions aiwavs have a distinction and appeal that is all their own. Pla ing With s many new and | novel effects and tense s is said to he ‘he best vehicle ever pro- duced for Madame Petrova. ©On Monday and Tuyesday the Breed will present an exceptional holid. bill, headed by Edmund Breese, one o America’s foremost dramatic actors, in The Spoils of the Yukon, a Metro wonderplay in five superb acts. Mr. Breesa probably best known to theatre gcers for his remarkable per- formance in The Lion and the Mousc, the sensational play in which he ‘played the leading part for three years in this | country and in England. The Spell of the Yukon es- | are was written is_adapted | from the famous poem of the same | name by Robert W. Service, and i perhaps Mr. Service's best know work. It is the poem that he selected | above all others to put in first plac in his collection, and also carries the tifle of his famous book of poems. The picture reproduces the rough, | wild life of the Alaska zold fields, the! devil-may-care spirit of the _dance halls and gambling dens, and then, as| & foil to all this, the culture and re- | finoment of New York's smart set.| There are thrilling scenes of the stoclk | market, when fortunes are won and lost in'an honr, and then there is the | wholesome influence of a girl and boy love affair.
