MoCoy are packing their household effects and making preparations to move to Clinton. Mr. McCoy has been transferred from the local tower to the Clinton tower. Mr. and Mrs. Mc- Coy have resided here for several years and have made many friends in this locality who regret to learn of their departure. Mr. McCoy has been in the service of the New Haven sys- tem for a long time, and is one of the road’s efficient employes. Saturday night, very near midnight, Deputy Sheriff Bennett was called by telephone to go to East Brooklyn to arrest a Polish man who was intoXi- cated and creating a disturbance. Canterbury people follow with much interest and sympathetic concern the war news from the western front in Furope, where for many months Wal- ter L. Wilson, son-of Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Wilson, of New York and Can- terbury, has heen stationed in ithe trenches of the Canadian contingent of the British expeditionary forces.
