He returns this week to spend the summer with his family in the Pratt homestead. Missionary to Preach. Rev. Mr. Beard of Foochow, China, who is soon returning to the Orient with his family, will occupy the pul- pit of the Congregational church on July 23rd. Because of poor health, Rev. J. K. Moore and family have been obliged to go away for the summer earlier than usual. They are in Vermont. Mrs, Bugene Williams, who recently sold her home here to Mr. Dekkers, has had her furniture moved to North At- tleboro, Mass., the past week, leaving herself on Tuesday. # Mrs. - Sarah Stuart of Windsor is spending a month with her son, L. Pendleton—Ball Game With Columbia Today. Sunday, July 9th, twenty-five of the nearest relatives of Dr. and Mrs. Cyrus H, Pendleton were entertained at dinner at there home in Hebron in honor of the fiftieth anniversary of thelr wedding. Two members of the party were present at the wedding fifty years ago, Mrs, Eliza A. Latham and Mrs. Jane A. Blish, sisters of Mrs. Pendleton. The dector and wife have filve children and six grandchildren, all being present. All reside in He- bron. The doctor’s nephews from Bozrah, 'Alexander /8. Pendleton and his wife and daugh'er, were present. Mr. and Mrs. John Wells and son, of Iast Hampton, were present also. The floral decorations were yellow primroses, pansies and crimsen ram- bler roses. A purse of gold was pre- sented, and other tokens of regard.
