DAVIS THEATRE. New Show Today—Three Keith Acts, ‘Triangle Pictures and Cha Chap- . lin in His Latest Comedy, The Fire- . man. ‘There will be a complete change of programme at the Davis today, and the big attraction for the last half of the week will be the inimitable Charlie Chaplin in his latest and greatest com- edy, called The Fireman. Laughter is the greatest cure for all ills and this picture will give You all the laughing you want. There are 2,000 feet of film and there isn't one foot that doesn’t contain a laugh. This is the second comedy made under the new $670,000 contract .and is easily the best thing this notable comedian has ever turned out. The Triangle feature on the bill is called A Child of the Paris Streets, I | | MAE MARSH, IN NEW TRIANGLE PLAY, “A CHILD OF THE PARIS _STREETS® . . . featuring Mae Marsh and Tully Mar- shall, who played here last season in the all-star cast of Fine Feathers. Mr. Marshall made a lot of friends in town while he was here, and everyone will be glad to see him again, even if it is nn the screen. (Mae Marsh, who is co-starred with 'Tully Marshall in A Child of the Paris Streets, was born in Madrid, N. M, Nov, 9, 1895. Her people took her to live in San Francisco the year before the 'quake, and in that horror all their belongings were destroyed and little Mae had a narrow escape. She was eager to follow her sister into screen work, and eventually was given a ohance. She made good beyond ex- pectations, and her rise was regid. Her flnt leading part was Mary in Sands o' Dee, a Griffith production. ‘The vaudeville on this bill is nght up to the standard and is headed by Fremont Benton and company, who present a delightful comedy sketch, Handkerchief No. 15. This is one of he finest attractions playing vaude- ville and is sure to be a big hit with the Davis patrons. Another good act is ‘the Faxin Sisters, two clever girls who have a character change act in- troducing several imitations and im- HELD personations of popular favorites, The|at Norwich, within and for the District other act is F.
