DIE WALKURE. ‘Wagner's grand opera, Die Walkure with a cast never equalled in any opera house in the world, will be given in the Yale Bowl in New Ha- ven on the evening of June 3, starting at 7.45 and the production, from ev- ery standpoint, bids fair to be the most remarkable ever given. About one-third of the Bowl will be used and it is expected that about 25,000 persons will be on hand when the first note is sung. The cast/is made up J Sembach, who Sings in “Die Wal in the Yale Bowl on June 5 of the stars of the Metropolitan Opera ompauy of New York and the or- o od 6100 pieces and under the direc- tion of Arthur Bodansky. The opera in New Haven will be glven: under the auspices of the Yale School of Music and part of the pro- ceeds will be given to this department of the university and another part will be used to defray the debt on the Bowl. Four hundred Yale men will act as ushers and guides, while 200 will act as special policemen in the university’s parking space, which will be brilliantly illuminated. Those wish- ing to park their cars in the plots of the university near the Bowl, for Which a charge of $2 will be made, should apply when sending thelr ticket applications, to the Yale Ticket De- partment, Durfee hall, New Haven.
