John is the hiero, but is far from being entirely good. As in real life, the types are sometimes confused and the good man becobmes worse than the bad; while Kate, dragged hither and thither by the force of circumstances, falls from the highest standard of principle, just as real folks sometimes do. ‘The part of Kate Wilson is taken by Beatriz Michelena, whom critics de- clare to be one of the most gifted emo- tiopal actresses that has yet appeared on the screen. There will be special music furnished by a four-plece string orchestra. C!;E)NIAL THEATRE. The feature pieture at the Colonial today is The Web of Crime, two-part Selig drama. Marion Ward is the daughter of a woman who conducts a thieves' den. Tom Egan, a criminal, makes Mag Ward's home a rendezvous. Merion, never knowing any other life, does not realize the difference between right and wrong. After an unusually successful haul, Egan resolves to_cele- Erate the event with a wedding. Mari- on overhears her mother and Bgan planning and tells Sandy Murray, an- other crook, ket she will not marry Egan. They escape. Marion finally reaches a picturesque fishing village Where she meets Earl Worth, a young fisherman. He takes her to his moth- er's home. Egan, now a fugitive from justice, reaches the fishing village, where hc firds Marion, Barl sees her talking to the stranger and Dbelieves that sie has deceived him. He Is downcast and on the verge of denouncing her when de- tectives appear. They see Marion and by watching her they locate Bgan. Bgan spies the detectives. He forces Marion into a boat and a thrilling race ensues. Egan tries to jump into_the river and drag Marion with him. Barl Worth makes a flying leap to Marion's rescue, lands safely. deals Bgan a crushing blow. and the crook is knock- ed into the sea, where be drowns. Her Husband's Honor is a two-part Kalem drama. The Tear on the Page, Bic drama. Two other pictures are He's a_Bear, Lubin drama, and Ham at the Fair, Kalem comedy, which ends today’s big programme. St. Margaret’s Guild Entertainment. The people of Norwich will have an opportunity to hear Mrs. Royal A. Bristol, dramatic personator, at the en- tertainment to be held at the Y. M. C. A. hall this evening under the auspices. of St. Margaret's’ guild of Christ <church, Mrs. Bristol is a dharming woman, well trained in her art. A Serenade in negro dialect was very funny end brilliantly done. In this she plays an imaginary baajo and sings a _song. Dancing a minuet was one of the pretty things she did, as she is petite and graceful.—Bridgeport Telegram, Tt was an intensely interesting en- tertainment, thoroughly enjoyed by the brilliant audience. The programme was varied, containing humor, pathos, dialect and musical sketches. Mrs. Bristol’'s versatility brought peal upon peal of laughter from an audience which but a moment before was tight- ly held in almost oppressive stillness. —New Rohelle Ploneer. The audience was delighted with her recitals, each number being enthusias- tically encored.—New Haven Times- Leader. To add to this fine entertainment, there will also be an exhibition of fancy dancing by Miss Edith Tafft of VVle‘;‘t Upton, Mass., formerly of Nor- wicl Twins occur about once in every 1,000 births, B Situated on the leading residential street of Willimantio, Conn, (corner Pleasant and Mountain streets.)
