Donohue, real estate agent, has sold for Charles I and Lil- lan 8. Rathbun their property at 224 Mt Pleasant street, consisting of a seven-room cottage and a barn, to A. Schanker, the well known liquor deal- er on Central Wharf. Mr. Schanker will occupy the property about May. - DAVIS THEATRE. Lasky’s Big Kid Act, At the Party, the Hit of the Season—Triangle Pictures and a Funny Keystone Comedy With Fatty and Mabel Today. Crowded houses at every perform- ance yesterday witnessed one of the finest vaudeville and photoplay shows of the season. The headline attraction is Jesse L. Lasky’s big kid act, At the Party, a juvenile musical comedy with seven of the cleverest kiddies on the stage. They all do solo numbers and several ensemble numbers and every one of them are artists. Those who saw the Toylanders when it played here thought that the pinnacle of juve- nile training had been reached, but the Toylanders cannot compare with this act. One outstanding feature is the singing of My Cavalier by one of the little girls, and to say that she is a .woncer is not giving the little one full credit, for she sings it better than any grown-up that ever played here. Little Davie, the comedian, is another star, and he keeps the house in roars at the way he puts his songs over. This act will be here today and tomorrow only and no one should miss ‘seeing them. The children will enjoy seeing this act and you are invited to bring the little ones to see this clever act. The other two acts are DeWitt and Stewart, a clever team of singers who harmonize beavtifully, and Jean Finneran, the boy from Galway, who does a neat danc'rg novelty. In the photoplays -part Ince production featuring Willard Mack and Clara Williams. This is a strorg dramatic production and holds the interest of the spectator from start to finish. The Keystone comedy is called Fatty and Mabel Adrift, a three- reel laugh-producer, showing these twe popular funmakers in one of the best comedies they ever appeared in. There will be four complete shows Saturday. at 180, 3.15, 6.30 and 8.30. Special by the Davis concert orchestra the feature is The Corner, a fivi under the dircction of C. A. Dowsett DBe sure and bring the children to see the big juvenile musical comedy, At the Party. AT THE AUDITORIUM, The Gentleman from Indiana, which stars the celebrated American actor, Dustin Farnum, is the first of the eagerly awaited Pallas Paramount pictures, and comes to the Auditorium theatre for two days, beginning today. Among the features of this memorable production are a monster circus pa- rade, remarkably genuine with its ele- phant, lady bareback riders and all; a whirlwind political campaign with | stump speeches as only Indiana can ce them stumped, together with amaz- I s a la the early 'S0’s; a thrilling rainstorm at night with buildings rocking in the wind and sheets of water washing down the window panes of the Main street stores; the same rainstorm in a deso- late grove of cedars, where is enacted the famous Booth Tarkington “light- ning flash” when Harkless is captured by the whitecaps; and a thousand and one effective details. Dustin Farnum does the best work of his career in this powerful drama and makes The Gentleman from Indiana undoubtedly one of the big things of the motion ing torchl: t proces: picture evear. Phil Taylor's Greater Broadway Min- strels will be heard from again today and tomorrow and they are presenting a corking bill which is going big ‘at every performanc COLONIAL THEATRE, The feature picture at the Colonial sanay drama in three parts. The cast includes June Keith, John Lorenz, Hugh E. Thomp- son, John H. Cosser and J. N. Spence. Bad Money is a Bio drama and two other good pictures for today are Love and Swords and Quits, a Vit comedy. Matinee 5 cents, evening 10 cents, today is The Old Sin, New show every day. e ————— BRIEF STATE NEWS h: Litchfleld and Torrington. i April 11 Waterbury.—A total of 119 inches ot snow fell in Waterbury from Novem- ber 23 until March 22 and there were 26 snowstorms.
