The whole secret of this com- |pany’s tremendous hit here has been |the ‘high quality of their productions and every ome of the six different ishows put on has been better than janything ever before presented in Nor- wich. Today they will present another pentirely new show and nothing will be idone that they have previously pre- jsented here. The comedy today is {called Johnny's Aunt, and is a scream !from start to finish. This will be fol- |lowed by a big musical revue, with dances and big spectacular nov- jeltles, which will include a bathing number, for which a special board walk has been bullt that extends away out into the orchestra, taking up six Tows of seats. This will be the talk of the town after the matinee today. Mr. Jewett and Miss Pendieton will jbe seen in new dances, Mr. Boudray ‘will be heard in new bass solos, Mr. ©'Connell in new ballads, Mr. Morrison in new ractime numbers, Miss Farring- ton in new standard songs, Mr. El ‘wood in new comedy songs and every one will have something different from anything ever done here. The program today promises to excel all the others they have already done here, The photoplays will include The Artist's Model, a two reel Domino drama, The Mutual War Weekly, with seenes from the European war, and i{The Beauty Bunglers, a scréamingly funny Keystone comedy. Matinee at 2.30, all seats 10c, children 5c; evening 7 to 8 p. m., pictures; & to §.30, mu- sical revue; 9.30 to 10.15, pictures. Prices 10c, 15c and 20c. Come early It is not often that a composer strikes a keynote in opera which hits a vital chord In human nature and which rings true. When the composer can do so, then we have a composition that will live and keep renewing itself every few years. This is particularly true of that greatest of light operas, Pinafore, which is to be given in the Davis theatre next Wednesday after- noon and evening under the auspices of the Woman's auxiliary of the Young Men’s Christian association, The opera Pinafore needs no intro- duction to the older generation, as it hes interested and delighted its audi- ences time and again, and yet its charm 1s as potent today as when it was first produced. The promoters of this entertainment and all those who will pasticipate in the opera have worked hard to insure its successful production, and seldom has a prog- greamme by home talent given grearet promise of success than is held forth by those who will take part in Pinafore next Wednesday. Through the efforts of the committee in charge there has been a splendid advance sale of tickets for both the afternoon and evening performances. All those holding tickets that have been obtained from the members of the auxiliary can now exchange those tick- ets for reserved seats by presenting them at the store of George A. Davis. All those not vet supplied with tickets can obtain them at Mr. Davis' store. Admission is as follows: Afternoon 50c and 75c, children Evening, 50c, T5c and $1. Carload of Horses just arrived. L EXPERTENCED chauffeur wishes po- | trick body, tires nearly new, siectric This superb story deals with a Mrs. 8t. John, who lives on Cape Cod with her two sons, Frank and John. John has been studying for the ministry and Frank, the black sheep of the family, ®oes to New York to seek his for- tune. He is engaged as chauffeur for 2 wealthy family, and falls in love with the petted daughter of his em- ployer. The young people elope and are married, but the chauffeur proves 2 poor husband and leaves his child- wife with a young and lovable baby. He afterwards abducts his own child end carries it to the door of his moth- er's home, and she takes it in, not knowing whose child it is. The child’ mother, stricken with grief for her baby, is ordered to the seashore, and in the small Cape Cod town there are no hotels, so she is accepted as a paving guest in the home where the child is sheltered. She grows to love the minister of the family, and the husband, having skipped to sea on a big_schoener, returns. His schooner is shipwrecked, and only for the min- ister and his little congregation who gre hurriedly called from worship, he would have been lost. He explains the situation to all and becomes more sbusive to his wife, finally being kill- #d in a fray with one of his old-time pals over a few paltry coins. Thus the old Biblical quotation is fulfilled, “As ye sow, so shall ve reap.” Don't miss this mammoth feature today. Coming tomorrow, Charles Chaplin The Champion, in two reels. This the funniest picture ever made. You tan’t afford to miss it. AT THE AUDITORIIJM.
