Ridgefield, Conn., Teb, The body of a man found in Lake Waman- asco today was identified tonight as that of Hugh Collender, aged 45, of this place. Collender has no relatives here as far as known, but Mr, Hunt thinks he has a sister in Bridgeport. - The medical examiner believes that Collender fell through thin ice while attempting to cross the lake and was drowned. The body had been in the water about a month. Socialists Strike in Naples. Naples, Feb. 24—A general strike was proclaimed today by the socialists in order to obtain a reduction in the price of bread from ten cents to seven cents per kilo (2.20 pounds). Over 10,000 of the strikers paraded through the streets of the city and then pro- ceeded to the city hall to urge their cliims.
