Everett Thompson, who lives in the southern part of the town was a Sun- day evening visitor of Miss Laura Clark. Mr. Thompson ' unhitched his horse and fastened him in an open shed. Some time in the evening the horse freed himself and wandered away. Mr. Thompson, ready to o home at a late hour, found that his horse had gone. After gearching for him in vain, thinking- he had gone home, 1} Thompson decided to stay all night. Rising early he made an- other search but in vain. He then started walking for home, a distance of about twelve miles. After going about half the distance a telephone message reached him that his horse was at Mr. Clark’s house in a npearby feld. r. Thompson returned and found his steed zrazing peacefully in the fleld. He thinks the next time he comes he will tie the horse se- curely 20 he can find him when he wishes to return. Town Topics.
