CLOUDY TODAY; FAIR TOMCRRCe#/ Noewich NORWICH, CONN., FULL ASSOCIATED PRESS DESPATCHES What Is Going On Tonight Arthur Chetterdon Co. at Davis thea- tre. 2 P. Lee Musical Comedy Co. James acthe Auditorlum. T e ures af on: ! 3 O e e Orchestray &t Mokamesie Fifth Co. dance at Armory. ANNOUNCEMENTS AT THE DAVIS. Chatterdon Company Ple There is a certain distinctiveness | about the Arthur Chatterdon company productions offered at The Davis theatre this week, that appeals strong- ly to the exacting theatre patrons Df. Norwich. Yesterday aftcrnoon The Grain of Dust was produced for the second time this week, to a large, fashion- able and appreciative audience. Mr Chatterdon, his charming leading lady. Miss Bushnell, Roger Barker and the entire supporting cast again scored with their flnls.d and forceful pres- entation. Last evening The Traveling Sales- man added further favor to the star and company. This a';.'terynoon, The Girl from No- where, the first time ever in Norwich at popular prices, will prove another ster'ing farce comedy, in the hands of the capable players. The play, like The Girl In the Texi. will prove a mirth provoker of the first water. It is said a good hearty laugh is scheduled for the auditor, every minute of the ac- tion of -.the play running two and a quarter hours. ““This evening the great sensational Parisian _comedy drama, The Batterfly on the Wheel, will be presented for the second and l!ast.time. The play made a decided hit Monday afternoon, and the advance sa'e indicates arother capacity house. Both Mr. Chatterdon as Lawyer Brewster and Miss Bush- mell in the title role offer urusual dramatic, effort; the entlre“gast are n in adequate support, with a sre- &S:‘ leel’il!:e‘l and electrical embellish- ment thrown in for good measure. ' Friday matinee, Kindling, and the tango tea reception. Friday evening The Third Degree, the feature produc- tion of the engagement usually played at advanced prices. However, this week the prices for this extraordinary production will remain the same as throughout the engagement. $ COLONIAL THEATRE. “The President's Special,” Two Reel Thrilling Railroad Story.* This is a wonderful story of a rail- road switchman who his diligence had purchased a , but unfortu- ‘nately it was located a long distance from his work; and how the faithful little wife had saved enough from the earnings to purchase a second hand aufomobile. This auto- she puts to _ good use when her husband discovers “ that ‘an excursion train laden with women and children is about <ol- lide with the president's She sees the excursionists from her door, and entering the machine, races with the train, reaching the station ahead and flags the oncoming special in time to avert the disaster. This is a truly thrilling feature. Other strong films for today are A Siren of the Desert, Lubin: The rse Thief, Vitagraph. and the d: g comedy feature, A Difference Between Learning and Learning How. No one can afford to amiss this brilliant bill, the big rail- road film especially. Coming soon, Call of the North, with Robert Edeson, 'THE IRISH CHRISTENING. Today at the Auditorium. Mr. d Teal presents James P, Lee is popular players in. a ‘very laughable two act musical comedy. James P. Lee as Finnizan, LeRoy Kinslow principal fun makers, and the entire company cast to ‘the best ad- vantage, are prepared to give the pa- trons of the Auditorium one of the best shows of the week. One of the principle parts will be played in to- y’s show by Baley Anzeline = the _clever fuvenile performe. Feature mo- tion pictures will also be shown and gm entire show will run a full three ours. Cancels Engagements, Owing to the serious illness of his mother, Mrs. J. P. Montgomery, C. B. ,Montzomerv has been oblized to can- cel seven meetin=s, ergagements with Democratic soldiers in the western part of thc state. Mr, Blanchard a Spanish war soldier beionging to U. V. 1. takes his place. They are for Brandtfiee for serator and working on th 1 hock. independent of any political committee. Game in Plenty. Game birds were never more plenti- ful than this yvear. Squirrels an& rab- bits are also numerous. The great number of licenses issued does not ap- pear to reduce the number of birds. Providence Hunters Violate Laws. Many complaints were made last year about Providence hunters going dern Tove Lane road, hiding their au ioblles by the wayside and after Ltering game birds by the score r into Rhode Island. Home can’t sell birds and are not al- lowed to take them out of the state so the comnplaints appeared to be justified, The past weel the same hunters wors here again. The firing of their guns was continupus and at sundown away they, went to Rhode Island.
