DAVIS THEATRE. g & Extra’ for Today and Tflnorrowi_ Great Salem tion - Pictures of th For today and tomorrow thé man- agement of this popular theatre has se- cured the first motion pictures of the - Salem fire, ~ the stréc:en City in flames, also the ruins and de- i caused by this terrible ca- The camera men were right on tHe spot while the city was burning and at-terrible risk of their own lives secured these pictures for the moving picture patrons. Everything shown in these pictures are actual scenes and they convey more to the public than anything else could. Mr. Davis was one of the first to secure these pic- tures for his theatres, and no one should miss this opportunity of seeing at first' hand just what happened to the city of Salem. They will be shown in addition to the regular programme, which ~includes the Famous Players class A feature Clothes, Grace George's famous success, acted by an all star st,” including Charlotte Ives and louse Peters. There are four reels to this great society drama, and the story is’ a gripping one that holds the inter- est throughout. The Hour of Reckon- ing.is a two-reel Broncho western dra- ma. with a powerful plot. Our Mutual Girl"is back at her aunt’s home and telle the story of her strange disap- pearance. Irvin S. Cobb, the celebrat- ed ‘humerist, is seen in this picture, and he will write the story of Our Mu- tual Girl from now on. The Keystone is called Acres of Alfalfa and besides being extremely funny it has an edu- icnal value not to be overlooked. s. Bovle apd Craig have a con- rogramme that comes up, to the rd of the preceding ones already given by these two talented singers; beth solp and duet numbers are of the highest standard, and their popularity is increasing every day. No matter how het it is on the street, it is always pleasantly cool inside the Davis—a fact that is appreciated by the patrons of this theatre. Bargain matinee today— 5 and 10 cents. COLONIAL THEATRE. The Secret Vault, Immense Two-Reel Oramatic Feature Offering. The astounding interest manifested in the great serial stories which the Colonial theatre is presenting on their - motion picture screen has caused Man- - ager McNulty to secure for his patrons one of the biggest serials that has ever been -put out, the first of which will be shown next week after due news- paper notice has beén given. It has as its leading actors two of the most popular people in the business, whose names’ alone always mean a crowded house, and as every picture event is complete in itself anyonge attending at any picture will see 'a completed event. For today the enormous two- reel success entitled The Secret Vault is the feature. It is a charming story of love and politice—a designing law- yer and a clever detective. Other strong attractions for today are A Flirt's Repenthnce, a splendid Selig drama; Nev: hirk, and Wifey's Visit Home, Blograph comedies, and others, AT THE AUDITORIUM. Salem Fire Pictures Today. For today and Saturday the manage- ment have booked under heavy expe\igl:e the original pictures of the great Salem catastrophe. These 'pictures were taken by the Pathe Freres, the pioneer moving - picture concern, which has a Teputation of always having the best Did\lru»o! current events, and who now have a daily news picture service. This company is prepared at all hours ) for just such happenings as the Salem fire and actually had camera men go out” from Boston almost immediately after the fire started. It is without a doubt’ the best fire picture ever taken and not only shows the fire itself but a.llao the. panicky, condition of the peo- ple and gives one a vivid idea of the enormity of this great catastrophe. There will be no extra admission charged today or tomorrow, and the regular vaudeville show will be run eries No. 9 of the Lucille will be shown, and Weekly. _ipo as- well.
