Reed, daughter of Mrs. Harris, of the Barrington road, Friday evening, at the home of the bride's mother. The ceremony was performed by Rev. William M. Chapin, rector of 8t Jokn’s church, Barrington, while the bridegroom reclined on a couch. A large number of relatives and friends were present. The home was decorated with psalms, roses and other flowers, and the bride wore a gown of white crepe de chine trimmed with rare lace. She entered the room to the music of the Bridal chorus from Lohengrin, play- ed by Mrs. Nelson R. Hall on the vio- lin unattended. She carried a shower bouquet of bride roses and lilies of the valley. An informal reception andi supper foilowed the cereraony. Mr. and Mrs. Blackmar will reside in East Providence. Mr. Blackmar is an electrical contractor and is a mem- ber of the Barrington town council. Mr. Blackmar sustained his inj in connection with a brush fire he was trying to extinguish near the home of his flancee. He had been burning Some grass about the place early on Friday afternoon when the blaze got beyond his control and threatened a barn. Mr. Blackmar dashed to his home just over the line in his auto- mebile and was returning with a fire extinguisher, when the Steering gear of the machine became disabled. He barely avoided stri Z a telephone pole and the car skidded and struck a large rock. Mr. RBlackmar was thrown out and his leg was broken. He -was carried into the home of his flancee where the fracture was r duced. An effort was made to hav him postpone the wedding, but he d clined and the ceremony was perform- ed at the appointed time. | =3 The reported disappearance of Ho- bart Livingston, Jr., from his home at the corner of Spring and School streets, Sunday evening, created con- siderable consternation in that sec- tion Sunday evening. The boy is three years old and it is his custom to go out to meet his father when he comes home from work at the C. B. Cottrell and Sons’ Company plant. The father came home. made inquiry for his son, but the lad could not be found The parents were distracted. The whole neighborhood was aroused and joined in the hunt for the child. Martin H. Spellman, in his automo- bile, covered the highways and by- ways within a radius of ten miles, in search of the child but without suc- cess. Search of the home had Leen mode before the general hunt was institut- ed and report came forth that the boy was not in the home. Finally one of the neighbors suggested that a mu-e thorough search be made in the house. This was done, and the missing Iad was found sound asleep in his lit- tle bed. He had tired of waiting for his father returned to his home and went to bed unobserved.
