Howe of Park church had charge of the service at the Shel- tering Arms Sunday afternoon. -Famil- i8r hymns were sung and prayer of- fered. Dr. Howe took for the subject of his address The Blessing of Moses Upon the Tribe of Asher, showing how that blessing is the possession of Christians today and of those present in the little gathering there. Moses® blessing was, Thy shoes shall be iron and briss, a promise, the speaker said, that their equipment shall equal their task, their experiences their emergen- cies, and for us that God will pull us through all the hard places we will have to travel. s thy days so shall thy strength be, ‘was said of the tribe of Asher, and this most tenger, beautiful and com- forting promise is for us. Jesus has 1iis best things to sav to persons in obscurity and -trouble, comforting things, as when llewsaid, Where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am 1 in the midst of them. He is with us in this little group at every Sunday afternoon service. In times of dim faith. when the founda- tions seem shaky, then underneath are the everlasting arms uplifting and sus- taining.
