The many friends in town of Mrs. Bertha Willlams, wife of a former pastor of the Congregational church, were pained to learn of her death in the Johnson hospital at Stafford Springs. Monday afternoon, May 4. Mrs. Willlams was an earnest and devoted church worker. While here she organized the Ladies’ Aid society and served as its president. The funeral of Mrs. Frances A. Maine, widow of John S. Maine, was held Sunday afternoon at the residence of her son-in-law, George D. Coats, The service was conducted by Rev. F. M.
