At the new house on Broad street, near Treadway avenue, being built for Mrs, Channing M. Huntingten the plastering has been completed and the intetlor work is being finished up. On the outside there are two flights of stone steps for the front and back doors. Changes in Broad Street Mouse. A number of changes are being made at the house No. 187 Broad street owned by Henry Beausoleil. The house is three stories in height, with base- ment. An addition is béing“built on the rear of the house and an extension is being put on one side. The addition will provide two additional rooms on the basement and first floors. The side extension will enlarge twe rooms on that side of the building. To Start Garage Work. Conditions As They Are Found Throughout the State. There is a slight decrease in volume of real estate business last week, as shown by the number of war- ranty deeds filed in the towns report- ed in The Commercial Record, as with the same week of 1913, he record last week shows 345 sales, with mortgage 1oans of last year there were 377 sales and lans of $815,121. The record of new incorporations st week is very much. lower than that of last year, when 14 new com- panies with capital stock of a million dollars were reported. Last week seven incorporations with a total au- thorized capital stock of $227, 500 were formed in this State. The record of bankruptcy petitions last week is about the same as for the past five years, only five partitions, with assets of $9,170 and liabilities of $22,869, being reported. During the week bullding permits were granted in the cities of New Haven, Hartford, Bridgeport, Water- bury and Stamford to the number of 104 for bulldings costing over $300,000, which is not quite as good & record as & Yyear ago. A ,f,f. number of new projects are reported for last week. Among them are a garage and business block, and store and apartment building in Nor- walk, several residences in Waterbury, reésidences and keveral tenement bulld- ings in New Britain, schoolhouse and residences in Brists], two schoolhouses the séveral one and two-family houses of the better class, and a nimber of ten- ement blocks in Hartford. Contraiets awarded last week include passenger station at Brookfleld Junc- tion, schoolhouse chahges, factory, two fine residences and a number of sm: er houses in New Haven, $40,000 p: rochial school in Derby, ‘theatre and business block in Norwalk, several one and two-famiiy houses in Waterbury, tenement houses in New Buitaiu and PBristol, a number of one and two family houses in Brideeport, business bleck in Greenwich, two six-family blocks in Stamford, and a number of residences, two and three-family houses, and laundry building iu Hart- ford. Norwich had 22 sales of realty last week to 14 a year ago, the loans for the respective weeks being $11,390 and $9,420. In New London there were twelve #ales of real estate last week and the saine & year ago. Loans amounted to $15,123 and $38,325 respectively.
