In the police court Thursday mern- ing Charles Jacobs, the young man who was a boarder at the home of Frask St. John on Chestnut street, and who went away with $105 belong- ng to the St. Johns, was given a chance to repay the balance of the money, $70 of which was found on his person when he was arrested. Jacobs expressed a desire to go to work and pay back the $35, and his case was continued two months in order that he might make good the los Peter Lavalle, who received some of the stolen money, was already on pro- bation, with a 30 dayvs' sentence over him.
