All New Vaudevilie Featurs Acts To- day—Special Holiday Bill. ¥or the last half of this week & special vaudeville bill has been booked and one of the best seen here for some time, The headline attraction is Vad- dar and Mirgon, who have an intense dramatic sketch' to offer called A C at Midnight. The sketch is melodra ‘matic and dces not have the “scenery ohewing” foatures usually found in-the attempts of less capable actors. The sketcn deals with the son of the head of a silk mill which is in the throes of a Jabor strike, and one of the strikers. The action of the piece is furnished by the manner in which the girl forces the proprietor’s son, who is tempora- rily in charge, to accede to their d mands and call the strike off. This is one of the most ably performed sketch- es of the year and is sure to prove a | big hit with the Davis patrons. The second act is Glasco and Walker, team of real live wire comedians, Who have a line of comedy talk that s en- ifrely different from the usual run of talking acts. Everything thev do is, , orlginal and right up to d act is Orphea, a clever lady performer who presenis her instrumentalogue of artistic_solos and difficuit combina- tions, playing solos on different instru- ments and accompanying herself on the piano at the same time. Ior & three-act bill this combination will be bard to equal anywhere. In the photo- ys today the feature is a two-reel ish drama called The Informer which tells an impressive story in a con vincing manner. The famous Mutual Weekly is also shown, with a lot of interesting events portraved in differ- ent parts of the wo. One particula feature i€ scenes of the actual fighting on the Mexican border today. The doors will open for the afterncon show at 1.45 p, m. The Country Store will also be given ez the first show at night. Doors open for the night show at 6.30. Special articles for the ladies will be distrib- uted at the matinee.
