New Thres Story Brick Block For Washington Street—Other Contracts Let. s The foundation work has been started for a new block to be erect- ed on Washington street, near the corner of Main .street, for Pnilip J. Stueck, 382 Main street, The building will be three stories high and will have a frontage on Washington street of 85 feet and will be 45 feet deep. It will be built of brick, with steel beams and terra cotta trim, a tar and gravel roof, steam heat, tile vestibules, a marquise, electric lights, ete. It will be arranged for four stores om the first floor, a large banquet room, three private dining rooms and a grill room on the second floor, and will have a large ball room on the third floor. The excavating was done by Salvatore Mazzotta. The plans for the super- structure will be ready for bids this week. To .Build Theatre. Salvatore Adorno, proprietor of the Crescent Theatre, is making prepara- tions for the erection of a new theatre building in the rear of Mrs. James Donovan's property on Main street. No detaiis have been decided upon as vet, but it will probably be built of brick and will have a seating capacity of about 1,000. One of the stores on Main street will be used for the lobby, which will be 18 feet wide and about 70 feet deep. Plans for Block. Plans have been completed for a brick block to be erected at 49 Ferry street, for Salvatore Garofalo. It will be built of red brick, with limestone or brownstone trim, and will be 28x71 feet, three stories high. It will have a tar and gravel roof, iron beams, plate glass store front, metal ceilings, etc. There will be two stores and six tenements. The mason work will be done by the owner.
