Town Council Will Act This Nine More Than Can be Granted—Licenses by Law— One Westerly Native Thinks He Has a Chance—Lewis A. Champlin, Former Police Chief at Narragansett Pier, Dies at His Home at Wakefield. B The list of those who will be priv- fleged to sell intoxicating liquors in the town of Westerly for the onsuing year will be determined at a meeting of the town council this afternoon. There are nine more applications for license thaf can be granted under the Jaw and, if the usual custom prevails by granting renewals to those aiready holding license, there will be but one available, and that has a string at- tached. 'All the present license nold- ers have made application for renewal except Pasquale Salimeno and he has been out of the business for several months although Joseph B. Grills has been doing business under the Sali- meno license. Grills bas now made application for license, and as he is aiready established in business he may Feceive the same consideration that will be given to the other liquor deal- ers. Salimeno has made several separa: applications to have his license trans- ferred to Grills in order to have him in Bue for a license for the present saloon conducted by him, but the ap- plications of Salimeno were rejected This is taken as significant that the councilmen intend to turn down the "ECTENA DISFIRURED BABY TERRIBLY "Body All Broken Out in Water Blis- | ters. lchad So Had to Muffie Hands.
