The superior court was in session Monday at 1 p. m.,, with Judge Will- iams on the bench, to hear the case of Knowiton vs. Wright. Judge Bowen and States Attorney C Searls represented the plaintiff, and Attorney George E. Hinman and William A. King the defendant. The suit arose over a contract to haul lumber entered into between the parties January 14, 1913. Wright was to haul Knowliton's timber at $5 a thousand feet and cross ties at 12 1-2 cents each, and take in part payment all the slabs on two lots at $1 a cord and all the lumber on another lot at $1.60 a cord. In addition Knowlton purchased two lots from the defend- ant, pa > and $100 out of the purchase pr r the other.
