A unique entertainment was thor- oughly enjoyed by a large audience at Slater hall on Wednesday evening. This | |! was given by the Norwich Art Stu- dents’ association of which Mrs. Robert | W. Perkins is the president, and took the form of a lecture by Carroil Beck- with of New York, accompanying Old Masters in Tableaux. Music by the Harmony club was a delightful prelude to the tableaux and wag interspersed between the different parts of the artistic program, giving the music lovers a treat in harmony with the beauty of the plctures. The first -three tableaux, work of Carpaccio, Lotto and Giorgone, were respectively the charming angel with the lute, from the Academia in Venice, the portrait of Madonna Laura- gracious in pose and rich in and color, and the handsome portrait of a young man, noble in its s city of treatment.
