In the four cities in this territory, the constructive work was large in the past twelve months. Norwich sHowed a total of $609,965, in contrast to $257,830 in 1911 and $488,030 in 1910. New London also was on the upward trend with figures of $305,750 against $405,500 in 1911 and $282,425 in 1910. Putnem’s figures for 1912 -were small as compared with $185,000 in 1910 and a small fraction of that amount in 1911. In Willimantic the year 1912 recorded a total of $275,000 in building work, which exceeded the sum of $282800 for 1911, but w short of the amount of $335,550 shown in 1910. Total for the Year Not in Excess of $10,000—Six Building Permite— Motion Picture House Erected. Only six permits for bullding were issued by the warden and court of burgesses in Danlelson during the yeer 1312. Of the six, only on was for a dwelling, one was for a greenhouse, and the other four wera for additions, the total of buflding operations for the twelve months in the borough being not in excess of $10,000, this indicating that build- ing was practically at a standstill. The only bullding of importance constructed within the lNmits af the town was t¥at of the Killingly Realty company at Dayville, a two- story frame structure, to be used for motion pictures and other enter- tetnments.
