The many friends were shocked and grieved to learn of the sudden death of Dr. Charles E. Brayton, which oc- curred early Monday morning at his home on Elm street. He had been about Sunday and attended his usual duties, administering to the sick. The cause of his death was heart disease. He was a practicing physician for many years in the borough, and was a member of the Royal Arcanum, holding many prominent offices. He was also connected with the C. B. Brayton & Co. drug store in the borough, and was recently appointed to investigate child labor. He was a member of the Sécond Congregational church and a man whose life was most dear, to many here, as he was known for his many charitable deeds, will be greatly missed. He is survived by a brother, Gegrge Brayton of the borough, and two nieces, Mrs. Harry Doty and Miss Lulu Brayton ,both of the borough.
