Thames lodge, No. 326, held a well attended meeting Tuesday evening in Foresters' hall and regular business was transacted. Iit was voted to ac- cept the invitation of Norwich lodge to attend the social next Monday eve- ning when there will be a reception to Grand Warden James L. Christle of Bridgeport. This is the first visit the | grand warden has been able to make to Norwich lodge since his election as presiding officer of the state, and a large delegation of New England Or- der of Protection members of this city will be present to meet him. The lodge deputy, J. L. Wheeler, will algo be present and several other out of town visitors. A musical entertain- ment and sumptuous banquet is also understood to be on the programme, Deputy Max J. Foley attended Mon- day evening's session of Beulah lodge in New London, when an interesting programme wad carried out by the children. One application was re- ceived. The lodge is preparing to con- duct a live membership campaign during the balance of the year with a big class initiation at the last meet- ing of December. . UNITED WORKMEN.
