When the motorman -saw that Bowen was not going to attempt to get out ‘way, /e applied the emergency brakes; th reversed the power. He was taken to the Day-Kimball hospital at Putnam. It was said- afternoon that his condition was not as serious as was at first indicated and that he would eventually recover.
