MYSTIC Death of Col. Warren W. Packer— Clark , Allyn’s Wrist Badly Cut— Local Interests. Iollowing an illness of several months, Col, arren W, Packer pass- ed away at home on the New Lon- don road ay evening. He was born in Mystic Bridge Feb. 1. 1835, and spent nearly all his life in Mystic ex- cept for the time he served in the army and a short time spent in New London. When the war broke out he enlisted in Company G, Fifth Connecticut vol- unteers. For 17 years he was post- master at Mystic and comducted a newspaper and periodical store. Mr. Packer was the son of George Wash- ington and Julia Lewis Packer. He leaves a widow, four daughters, Mrs. Edward G. Cameron, Mrs. Charles R. Geer and Miss Annie Packer of Mystic and Mrs. William Bellamy of New London. There are three grandchil- dren and two brothers, George - and Charles Packer, of Mystic. His fu- neral was held on Sunday affernoon at 2.30 o'clock from his late home and was largely attended by relatives and friends. Rev. Albert Corey Jones, rec- tor of St. Mark's Eplscopal church, conducted the services and interment took place in the Packer cemetery in Lower Mysiic. Judge H. W. Rathbun Entertains. Judge Herbert W.
