Besmingly all of Norwich with an eve for the bemutiful m flowers at- tended the opening of Reuter's Flowet shop at No, 140 Main street on Bat: urday and by night there were fow on the street who were not wearing one of the lovely roses or carnations that had been given away to mark the opening of the new store. From end to end of the opening day, Manager H. S, eRogers reported that it had been most successtul, and sev- eral thousand flowers had been given away to the admiring crowds that vigited the store. From 7 o'clock in the morning until 10 at night there was scarcely a let-up and at times the store was crowded full out through the doorway with a line extending out on the sidewalk and into the street. Compliments came from all sides up- on the attractive and inviting appear- ance which the store presented and the quality of the flowers shown. To all the ladies who visited the store roses were presented, with car- mations In all colors for the men. The beavtiful cut roses that were given away were the loveliest and newest of thefr kind. They included the Madame Chatenay, an exqulsite pink rose with curled petals, pink Killarneys, the Mrs. Taft, a_delicate shell pink, the Mrs. Aaron Ward, a rich yellow, the Lady Hillingdon, a light yellow, and the Richmond, which is a rich red. In the two windows were shown a mas of blooms, arranged with artistio effeet, pink ramblers and the Madame Chate- nay holding the places of honor in the east window with red roses and a large basket of lilies with light lavender gauze ribbon arranged in the west window.
