The May criminal term of the su- perior court opened in New London Tuesday. Court was scheduled to open at 10.30, but the train which brought Judge Joel H. Reed from his home at Stafford Springs was nearly two hours late, and the judge did not arrive un- til 12,15, and court did not open until 12.45. % The day was given over to arrang- ing the cases, putting the prisoners to plg. No cases were tried. Court was opened with -prayer by Rev. Charles R, McNally, pastor of the First Baptist church. A. Brown then formally term.
