BLUM. | Famous Case Settied out of Gourt— Short Calendar Session on Friday. A hort calendar session of the court was held here I morning by Judge Edwin B. Gager and assignments for next weel were made. Tuesday and Wednesday he will be in Putnam to finish some business and hear two Putnam cases. On Thursiay ne will be in this city to fear cases and on Friday will hold & short caien- dar session, if there is any necessity for cne. The following Tuesday he will come to Willimantic to hold court and ‘he jury is excused until that day. In_the case of Hiram S. Frink vs the New York, New Haven & Hart- ford road for damages by fire, the judge ordered the railroad company to file an answer within two weeks. Judge | A. J. Bowen represents the plaintiff. In the case of James P. Brown vs. Joseph M. Schilling, judgment for the Dlaintiff for $169.60 wus rendered by Judge Gager. The suit was over a note for 3160 and had been in court nearly a yeur. No appearance was made for the defendant, but the piai 1iff was represented by Attorney W jam A, Kine. In the case of Franklin H. Elmore and others vs. the Argus Battery Co., Attorney W. 4.
