ROCHES | There is quite a delegation of vet- erans present from Connecticut at the national encampment at Rochester, N. | Y., which promises to be one of the most brilliant and enjoyable meetings ever held by the veterans. In addi- tion to what the citizens of Rochester did to promote the encampment the New York legislatire voted $50,000 for the purpose. The encampment is in celebration of the golden jubilee of the beginning of the great struggle between the morth and south, and the reunion between the Blue and the Gray will ‘be demon- strative of the fact that- time, the great transformer, has played an im- portant part in changing the animos- ities of the past into love and friend- ship of’the present, While in Rochester, the southern veterans will extend a special invita- tion to Commander John E.
