C. GOES INTO SUMMER RETIREMENT. Quarters Given Up—Will Resume Ac- tive Season in the Fall. Wednesday the paraphernalla of the Windham Athletic club at Willimantic including the ring, horizental bars, paralel bars, punching bag, dumb bells, etc., was taken from the club rooms in the Holmes block on Main street and stored for the summer, at least. The arge green and white sign that has hung across the front of the block was also taken down and no more events will be pulled off for the present at least. The members decided Tuesday evening that it would not be wise to try and continue longer at present be- cause of the small attendance of late and so came to the conclusion that it would be better to store the club's equipment for a few months instead of paying rent through the warm sum- mer months. The management, ho ever, wishes it understood that the.club has not disbanded and will resume ac- tive operations at a later date. The Windham Athletic chub was organized in February, 1909, and during the past b nters fas carded seme very fine attractions. The club made it pos- sible for the sports te witness some of the best wrestling talent in the busi- ness, including Frank Gotch, Zbysko, Jack McGrath, the Irish Gant, Hjalmar Lundn, Young Gotch, Jm Barnes.
