On Thursday evening the Christmas emtertainment of the Congregational Sunday school was heid in the vestry. Smith had a narrow es cape from instant death Wednesday. She is survived by her mother, two sisters and a dauwghter, Florence, who goes to live with an aunt residing near Willimantic, where she will finish her education. Christmas Festival. The Baptist Christmas entertainment was postponed from Saturday night on account of the weather to Monday night. The hall was well filled and the decorations, speaking and music were especially good. A short cantata, The Influence of the Spirit of Christmas, was very effectively carried out.
