Has Hose Wagon with Chemical Tank Addition—New Fire Alarm System Installed—Fine Parade of Paw- | catuck Department—County Commissioner Williams Takes Measurements with Reference to License Ap- plication. WESTERLY’S FIRE DEPARTMENT - ——ne The firemen of Yawcatuck held their anited parade and inspection Saturday afternoon. The department is not large but its general efficiency has been positively proven. The P. 8. Bar- ber hore company house was opened for public inspection at noon, and the official parade and inspection took place in the afternoon. The parade was confined to the lim- its of Pawcateuck fire district, and flags were displayed from the residen- ces along the line of march. is It planned to have these parades annual- lv, and perhaps a fire organization from out of town will be invited to participate and thus increase interest in this annual event. Next Saturday night the P. S. Barber hose company members and guests will emnjoy the annual supper. The hose wagon of the Cyclone steam fire engone company, Westerly, with new chemical tank addition .is back from Providence and is now in commission in the fire house on Cookey hill. The tank had been given several tests and found to leak at the screw cap, which proved to be defec- tjve.
