Rescue of Mired Horse. A horse owned by A. L. Botham, which was in the pasture back Newton's ice house, got mired in the pond near the ice house and came near losing his life. After several hours' hard work with a crowd of as- sistants the horse was extricated by hitching a rope around its body just back of its forelegs and hitching this to another horse, drawing it out Enjoyable Party.
