Runaway Accident, While Clarence Wilcox and Rodger Sherman werz driving an express team the horse became frightened by an auto. Both men were thrown to the ground and the wheels of the team passed over the Redger boy. He re- ceived a cut in his head and a bruised shoulder. Electra Leaves Port. Steam yacht Electra, owned by Harry Darlington, who spent the sum- mer at Watch Hill, anchoring the yacht in the harber hers, left at 3 p. m. Wed- nesday for Larchmont, N. Y. where Mr. Darlington will oceupy his own cottage for the balance of the season, at the end of which time the boat will lay up In New York and Mr. and Mrs. Darlington will go to Pittsburg for the winter. Weeks, OBITUARY. Nelson,A. Pendleton. _Nelson Augustus Pendleton died at his home on Main strect Wednesday evening after an. iliness of two weeks He leaves three sons, Fverett N. of th, borough, who was associated with him in the banking business, Robert A. of Cincinnati and Moses ' Pendieton of Boston, a sister. Miss Fannie Pendle- ton, and fwo brothers, Moses A. and Oscar F. Pendieton, of Stonington. The deceesed was born here Oct. 12, 1846, the son of the late Moses and Trances E. Forsyth Pendleton. When a young man he became clerk in the drug store of B. F. Palmer & Co. and later became associated with the First National and then -the Ocean bank where he was clerk. When the late J. W. H. Pollard was made president he sucoeeded him as cashier, which place he has since held. He was a charter member of Pequot council, No. 442, R. A, and served as its first sec retary.
