The funeral of Hiram Botham of Providence was held at the home of his sister, Mrs. Fred Litchfield. In- terment was in the Litchfield ceme- tery. Rev. Mr. Woodwell officiated. Touis Southworth secured a goodly sum by subscription for spraying the elms on the public grounds recently and the fine trees near his home and those on the church park and school grounds were given careful treatment. It is a pity that some fine specimens on private grounds are not duly cared for, as their days seem numbered without it. Miss Mary Flynn racently went to Norwich to visit her father, Daniel Flynn, who has a good position at the state hospital. Mrs. Duncan Taylor of Lakeside left for New York on Thursday, from whence Mrs. Taylor went to Crystal Bay, Lake George, to attend the annual conference with other friends. STERLING Epworth Loague Elects Delegates to Convention at Willimantic—With the Visitors. On Thursday 95 members of the Congregational Sundey school and their friends enjoyed an outing to Oczan Beach, New London, making the trip by special troiley. Henry Albro Will Be Missed. The funeral of Henry Albro was held at the home on Monday afternoon, Rev. Nestor Light conducting the ser- vice. Willlam C. Latimer, Wi Armstrong, F. S. White and . Curley acied as bearers. Interment was in the family lot In Nathan Hale cemetery. Though Mr. Albro had been a shut-in for eleven years, no one in active life could be more greatly missed, his bedside being almost con- stantly surrounded by visitors and friends who enjoyed his sociability and cheer. Hawing traveled much in his vounger days, and having an excellent memory, Mr. Albro had many interest- ing episodes to rzlate. His daughter, Miss Hattie Albro, who alone has been | his devoted companion and nurse dur- ing his iliness, has the sympathy of all her friends. New Electric Street Lights. The deceased had been icted with heart trouble for many years. but for the last elght months he had heen a great sufferer from a diseased foot. Last Wednes- day in the hospital the foot was part- ly amputated and gangrene was dis- covered. Mr. Flagg was born in Bur- rillville, R. L. July 23, 1836. He has ‘been employed by Mrs. Sarah Benson of Staffordville for twenty-two years. He was of a cheerful disposition. a kind neighbor and a good citizen. He was a soldier in the Civil war and en- listed in the Twelfth Rhode Island regiment. He was wounded in the bat- tle of Gettysburg. The funeral was held Thursday at his late home at 1 o'clock, Rev.
